Little Star Photography, Guelph Photographer » Blog

I have been a lover of photography for as long as I can recall. I was the geeky kid who never forgot her disposable camera when I went away to summer camp and daydreamed of someday becoming a photographer for an exciting magazine like “National Geographic”. When I was a teenager I tinkered around with a number of SLRs that I could never get to function properly. Those were the days when fancy cameras and film cost more than my empty pockets could afford so I shot when I could and missed it when I couldn’t.

In 2004, I lost tragically lost my dog, Stella. She was the first animal I adopted as an adult and was very much my baby. When she died, I realized how few photos I had of her and that I would do anything to have more. It was then that I resolved to take photograph more seriously.

In 2005,I bought my first DSLR. Since then I have spent hour upon hour trying to hone my skills. I love taking photos, and know that this is what I was meant to do. I started building my portfolio in 2009 and have been doing so since.

I like photographs that are simple, and clean looking. I love rich colours, and dreamy black and whites. I love taking photographs of everything, but my absolute favourite thing to photograph are animals. I fall in love with each and every one that I meet.

When I’m not busy taking photos I am the lucky mom to two wild kiddos, Koen and Eloise. I also have an amazing year 12 year old APBT named Cash, a puppy named Hazel, and two kitties named Linus and Lotus. If you check out my blog on a regular basis I’m sure you will get to know them all. I am a proud Mama and can’t resist sharing photos of my cuties.
